Microsoft's new Office will allow you to "Save As..." a PDF file

In the article, "Microsoft: Office 12 Will Handle PDF" by Greg Keizer on InternetWeek.com, it says that in Microsoft's newest version of Office, when you're in programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and more that you'll be able to save documents as a PDF file. This makes me curious a little of why they would do this because previously I heard that Microsoft would be coming out with their own "PDF' style format of document called "Metro". Apparently they will are still having "Metro" but is this some way of Microsoft being nice to their competitors or just trying to get the government of their back a little. Pam Deziel, the director of platform strategies for Adobe had it right when she said "Microsoft is a $40 billion monopoly, and a formidable opponent." Keyword being "monopoly." Stay tuned as I'm sure there will be more to this.
