Outdoor NHL hockey game tomorrow

Tomorrow afternoon the outdoor NHL hockey game in Buffalo, NY will take place. The Buffalo Sabres will take on the Pittsburgh Penguins in the stadium where the NFL Buffalo Bills play their home games. Even though I'm living in Buffalo, NY now I will be watching the game on television. I am excited to see it and see how the players are able to play in these conditions. It's suppose to snow too here in Buffalo tomorrow. Hopefully the game will be played and finished.

Cloverfield movie, what is it about?

Well I saw previews today of the new Cloverfield movie that is coming out in January. Watching the previews on television I had no idea what it was going on as they showed people partying and then there is an earthquake or something. Then people go to roof and a building explodes, and then fireballs look to start coming down onto buildings. People run back downstairs and outside onto the streets. Then the head of the Statue of Liberty looks to be thrown into a building and then it rolls down the street where the people came out of the building. So I went online to find out what this "Cloverfield" movie is really about. There seems to be a lot of speculation that it is a new Godzilla movie. That was my only thoughts of what could cause an earthquake, cause a building to explode, and take off the head of the Statue of Liberty. Below is one of the many Cloverfield videos on YouTube.

Watch the video and comment here on what you think this movie is about.

Happy holidays everyone

I want to wish everyone Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year. I'm not sure when I'll be able to blog again but probably not until 2008. So I hope everyone has a great holiday season and is able to spend time with their family and loved ones and enjoy life.

AVPR trailer

Well I saw previews of the upcoming AVPR (which stands for Alien vs Predator Requiem) which from what they showed looked good. I thought the first one was good, mostly because of Sanaa Lathan's acting and beauty, and I liked the action scenes between the Aliens and Predators, but the story I thought was weak. I hope this new movie will have a good story line. Watching some of the videos on YouTube this new movie seems to have more blood/gore, which I'm not really a fan of anyways, but again the action scenes look good. I added one of the previews below for you to watch for yourself.

Fast food freestyle video

My wife found this video along with other similar videos on YouTube. A teenager drives up to a Wendy's drive-through and freestyles his order. What's funny I thought was that the worker actually understood him and got everything he ordered. I can't freestyle at all so this was fun to watch and impressive.

Comodo Firewall Pro now free

Comodo Firewall Pro is now free for anyone to download, install, and use. You know I downloaded this free Pro version once I heard about this. Before this available I was using the free version that Comodo had available. So if you don't have the money to buy firewall protection from a well-known company such as McAfee, then try Comodo. I personally suggest using it.

A little about version 3.0 of Comodo Firewall Pro (source):

Comodo Firewall Pro (V3.0) operates from a prevention rather than a detection perspective, and incorporates a sophisticated, layered threat-management approach. Unlike detection/ signature-based firewalls and antivirus solutions that allow all applications to gain access to system resources and then try to detect previously identified viruses by their signatures, Comodo Firewall Pro takes the opposite approach. Comodo A-VSMART architecture allows only those applications known to be safe to gain access to computer resources, greatly reducing the probability of damage occurring.

You can view all of Comodo's free available software here.

Mozilla releases Firefox 3 Beta

I haven't posted about Firefox in a while because there hasn't been much news recently, until now that is. Mozilla has released a Beta version of Firefox 3. From this article, some changes in the new Firefox are:

Notable features include: a blacklist-based malware protection system; one-click access to site ownership information; a new full-page zoom feature that scales text, layout and images together; and speed and memory usage enhancements.

The two million new or changed lines of code in the browser also yield some improvements for web developers as well, including improved font and image handling, and support for embedded color profiles.

Have a Happy Thanksgiving

I want to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving, for those that celebrate the holiday. My wife and I are in Boston, MA for this week to be with my family for Thanksgiving. It's good to come back to my home city and state, seeing what is new and what has stayed the same.

My wife had a bad experience in Boston while driving downtown trying to pick me up from work. She got lost and asked for help to different people (even a police officer) and all of them were rude to her and didn't help her at all. Luckily I was able to get on my cell phone with her and tried to find her via foot. I eventually found her and we were able to get back to my brother's place safely. But my wife was very upset and I was so angry that nobody helped her at all.

To all the police officers out there, if someone asks you for help, please help them no matter what it may be, and no matter the color of the person's skin is who is asking you. You are to protect and to serve, and the police officer that my wife asked for help, did not serve at the moment she needed it. I feel like going off and cursing because it really hurt to see my wife in tears, but I won't. I wish I knew the badge number of the officer so I could report his @ss but I don't have it.

Santas can't say ho ho ho anymore?

Earlier this week I read about how people are trying to get Santas to be more fit and not overweight as in the past. This morning I just noticed something else about Santa on the Yahoo! home page and I thought I should blog about it. Apparently Santas in Australia are being told to not say "ho ho ho" and to say "ha ha ha" because it may be offensive to women. Read about it here.

I'm surprised about this because I don't know any women that think of themselves as a "ho" and I don't see how someone could get offended by a Santa saying "ho ho ho" or am I missing something? I could understand if a Santa said it to someone in a way that would be offensive and of course that should not be allowed.

Movie blogging: Why Did I Get Married?

My wife and I watched Tyler Perry's Why Did I Get Married? movie and we both enjoyed it. It's definitely a movie for married couples and probably also good for couples who aren't married but have been together for a little while. The movie had funny parts, serious parts, sad parts, and parts that made you think about your own life and relationship with that special someone. I recommend that you see it with a loved one. If you've seen it, tell me what you thought about it.

Watch two video trailers on Yahoo!.

Another movie my wife and I want to see is This Christmas. View the video trailer on Yahoo!.

Boston Red Sox are champions again

I just got to say I'm so happy that the Boston Red Sox won the World Series. The Red Sox have won 2 of the last 4 World Series. I'm a big Red Sox fan and seeing them come back against the Cleveland Indians and then sweeping the Colorado Rockies was just priceless. It reminded me of two years ago, but it wasn't the same due to the Yankees not being the team the Red Sox beat. Anyways, congratulations to the Red Sox. I know there will be a lots of partying and celebrations in Boston waiting for the Red Sox players.

Google's virtual world 'My World'

There's an article that talks about Google, and how they may be releasing a virtual world called "My World" later this year. It seems that it may be similar to Second Life but expect Google's advertising programs to come into play in this virtual world.

Watch NHL preseason games online

Currently you can watch some NHL preseason games online for free by going to and clicking on the "Center Ice" tab. From there you can select which game to watch. It only works when there are games being played. I thought this was really cool and good for hockey fans such as myself. So if you're a hockey fan check it out.

My new favorite cereal

Well a week or two ago I bought the Honey Bunches of Oats with Cinnamon Clusters cereal and I got to say that cereal tastes so good. That cereal is now my favorite. I love cinnamon so when I saw this in the store I thought I should try it and see how it tastes. I'm glad I did because now I have this for breakfast during the week. sells groceries and you can get the Honey Bunches of Oats with Cinnamon Clusters cereal there. Cool!

Sabres will play an outdoors game

If you remember and enjoyed the outdoors game in Edmonton in 2003 against the Montreal Canadiens, well get ready. This season the Pittsburgh Penguins will play against the Buffalo Sabres in Buffalo at Ralph Wilson Stadium, which is the home of the NFL's Buffalo Bills. This outdoor game will take place on New Years Day, January 1st, 2008. Read more about this on

Are Microsoft Updates always on?

Well according to an article on Enterprise Open Source Magazine, Scott Dunn says that even if you have the Automatic Microsoft Updates turned off on your computer, Microsoft still downloads files that appear to not be harmful. Check out that article, it's interesting and I wonder if Microsoft will respond to this somehow or just leave it alone.

More upcoming cool video games

I know the past few posts have been about video games but I just saw some previews of unreleased games that look interesting. If you're a gamer that likes action/shooter games then two games you'll want to keep an eye on are: Parabellum, and Command & Conquer 3: Kane's Wrath (both links go to the latest previews of each game on

If you're into scary horror games you may not find anything more scary than the Silent Hill series. Silent Hill 5 is currently being developed and there's a scoop on it in the next issue of EGM.

Spyware attacks on MySpace

Be careful on This happened a few months ago, but my brother got a random message from a girl (or so they said they were a girl) and he opened the message. He then said that a message came on his screen, in the bottom right corner, which looked like a Microsoft popup telling him that he had spyware on his lap top. It told him to purchase two programs to get rid of the spyware, they were called Pest Trap and Spylocked. He panicked and bought the two programs. After he installed them and ran them, he thought he got rid of the spyware. But the program kept saying he had spyware.

So my brother told me about it and we quickly searched the internet to find info about these two programs and to our dismay we found that it was a scam. The Spylocked program tells computer users that they have spyware on their computer and it tells them to buy another supposedly spyware catching/fixing program, which it told my brother to buy Pest Trap (or called SpySheriff). The Pest Trap/SpySheriff program will continue to reinstall itself on users' computers.

If you think you have one of these programs or a program similar to these, check out these links:

Upcoming zombie game: Left 4 Dead

Well ever since the Resident Evil series on PlayStation I've been a fan of zombie video games. There is a new one coming out that sounds really good, it's called Left 4 Dead. You can read more about it on this hands-on update. This game comes out in Q1 of 2008 so get ready to blast away zombies. It looks like the game will be online for PC users which is awesome as I have enjoyed playing team games online, such as Half-Life 2 Deathmatch.

Update on 09/09/07 at 11:12am
You can read more about Left 4 Dead in a preview on There are two gameplay videos on that preview which shows the game. Looks good, reminds me of the zombie mod for Half-Life 2 Deathmatch.

New Resident Evil movie coming out

There's another Resident Evil movie coming out, this one is called "Resident Evil: Extinction" and from the previews I've seen and looking at a few sites online, the movie looks to take place in a desert, which is now suppose to be Las Vegas. The main character played by Milla Jovovich and a group of survivors fight zombies in the desert. Is there any point in creating this movie? They have gone so far away from the story line of the Resident Evil video game, it's sad. The first movie was ok, but after that, they seemed to be going more and more away from the video game. The only thing that seems interesting is music artist Ashanti will be playing a character in this movie. Any other Resident Evil video game fans disappointed with the movies?

Wendy's $2 triple cheeseburger disappointment

Yesterday I went to Wendy's and got the $2 triple cheeseburger deal. I was expecting the same that I got before when I paid full price for one, which was three big burger patties making a really good triple cheeseburger. But instead with this deal, I got three really small and skinny burger patties on a small burger roll. I was really disappointed. Wendy's should call it the mini-triple cheeseburger deal. Anyone else get this deal and get the same thing, a small disappointing triple cheeseburger?

Watch out: hackers selling cyber crime tool kits

Wow I just read an article named "Cyber crime tool kits go on sale" on BBC News and the article is about how hackers are creating tools and selling them to other hackers to attack computer users.

Short quote from article:
Some of the most expensive tools are sold with 12 months of technical support that ensures they stay armed with the latest vulnerabilities.

"They are starting to pop up left and right," said Tim Eades from security company Sana, of the sites offering downloadable hacking tools. "It's the classic verticalisation of a market as it starts to mature."

Malicious hackers had evolved over the last few years, he said, and were now selling the tools they used to use to the growing numbers of fledgling cyber thieves.

This is really scary stuff to hear how hackers are actually making money selling these kits to other hackers to harm computer users.

FilePlanet has free games has a free games page on their site where they have free games listed. Free and paying members can download any game listed on that page for free. I just checked out the page and the game Far Cry is available to download for free. Although the game is ad-supported, I think it's a good opportunity to get a good game for free.

Google Pack now offers free office software

Google is now offering users to download the free office software suite, StarOffice. This is good news for computer users who can't afford Microsoft Office and need an alternative.

From an article:
"StarOffice includes word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, graphics, and database applications, along with a library of images and 3D effects. Normally available for $70, StarOffice is free with Google Pack.

Google has long avoided positioning its online productivity applications as Microsoft Office competitors, preferring instead to emphasize Google Docs & Spreadsheets programs as tools for collaboration. The addition of StarOffice to Google Pack shows Google confronting Microsoft more directly than its rhetoric suggests."

I personally use OpenOffice for office software but I may try StarOffice for a lap top I have or for maybe something else.

Play old Nintendo games online

Well I was searching to see if you could play old Nintendo games online and I found two sites so far. Both sites let you play old Nintendo games online for free. I tried playing Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!!, Metal Gear, Super Mario Bros., and Super Mario Bros. 3. They were all fun playing and brought back some old memories of when my brother and I use to play Nintendo together. The two sites I visited were and If you're a video game nut as myself and/or like the old games that are no longer released, make sure to check out those sites.

Grand Theft Auto IV is delayed

GTA fans will not be happy because Grand Theft Auto IV will be delayed until 2008. Here's a quote from
"Take-Two Interactive stunned the game industry by announcing it was delaying Grand Theft Auto IV to the second quarter of its 2008 fiscal year, which begins on February 1, 2008. Published by Take-Two subsidiary Rockstar Games, the crime-action title had been slated to ship for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in North America on October 16, 2007."

Boston Celtics get Kevin Garnett

Well I'm not a big Boston Celtics fan but they got my attention with their latest move in getting All-Star Kevin Garnett from the Minnesota Timberwolves. The Celtics gave up a lot to get him (Al Jefferson, Ryan Gomes, Sebastian Telfair, Gerald Green, Theo Ratliff, and two first round draft picks), but I think he's worth it. Garnett was already signed for the next two seasons, but Garnett has agreed to a three-year extension with the Celtics so he'll be a Celtic for the next five seasons. The Celtics now have three All-Stars with Garnett, Ray Allen, and Paul Pierce. They will definitely draw more fans and interest in the upcoming season. I know I will try and catch some of their games even though I'm in Buffalo.

I'm now a husband

Yes, I'm now a husband and it feels great! Well Amanda and I got back from our honeymoon this afternoon. Our honeymoon was great as we had a lot of fun. The wedding on the 23rd was so beautiful and everything was great. Some things didn't go as planned but it still turned out to be great. We are so thankful to God and everyone who helped and came to the wedding and reception.

We are going tomorrow to view some of the pictures digitally. We won't have pictures for a little while but once I get them I will post a few here. Once I get pictures digitally, I will post them online and I can send friends and family the link to view them. So if you're a friend or family member, you can email me at: adamwlad @

New SimCity game will be SimCity Societies

Remember those SimCity games? Well there is going to be a new one in November coming out that will be a little different from the past SimCity games. This new SimCity game will be named "SimCity Societies". The only SimCity game I've played has been SimCity 2000 which at the time I thought was the best game ever. I still think it's a good simulation game. I hope this new SimCity game will be as fun.

From a blog post on

"The game is going in a new direction that'll allow you to totally customize not just the layout of your city, but the 'character' of it. You'll apparently be able to make everything from a candy-coated fantasyland to a brutal police-state, defining the whole tone and culture of your citizens. Fan of Al Gore? Build yourself a green-living utopia where everyone leaves a small environmental footprint. As the city planner you'll juggle your resident's stats: industry, wealth, obedience, knowledge, devotion, or creativity."

Of course the graphics should be better than past SimCity games, check out the picture below and you can view more here.

Counting down, 10 more days

It's now 10 days before the big day. I'm currently with Amanda in Buffalo, New York getting more wedding stuff done and set. We're also looking for places to live in Buffalo. The weather here has been really nice and a little too hot for me as the sun has been out.

Others have been asking if I'm nervous but I'm really not. I know in my heart and head that everything will be all right and our love will get us through any obstacles we may have in the coming 10 days.

Open-source web page WYSIWYG editor

If you build web sites then you probably have a web page editor. My personal favorite web site editors are Macromedia Homesite, Microsoft Visual Web Developer 2005 Express Edition (free, get it here), and Microsoft Visual Studio 2005.

If you don't know how to code in HTML then you probably use a WhatYouSeeIsWhatYouGet program such as Adobe Dreamweaver. If you don't want to pay the high price for Dreamweaver there is an open-source alternative called KompoZer. The KompoZer program is an update with a lot of bug fixes of the NVU program, which I used and liked before. You can view some screenshots of the KompoZer program on

25 more days to go

Yes, there is only 25 more days to go until the big day! This past weekend was the bridal shower for my fiancee Amanda. On Friday I drove to Buffalo, NY from Boston, MA with my mom. That was a really long drive but fun in a way and a good driving experience. At the bridal shower we received many nice gifts that will definitely come in handy after we get married. I want to thank everyone again for giving the gifts that they did, Amanda and I appreciate it. Next up, time to find a place to live. We're both looking, but since Amanda is in Buffalo currently she is looking around, while I'm looking online for any places in Buffalo. 25 more days, I can't wait!

Another Second Life? Well kind of

I was looking around the other day and found what seems to be another 3D-world online game, called Kaneva. Looking at their site it looks to be another Second Life virtual world type of game and it seems to be more about community. I haven't tried it so I don't know how the avatars and 3D worlds look or if they're anything close to Second Life. But it will be interesting to see if this gets anywhere near the popularity of Second Life. If you haven't yet tried Second Life, try it now.

Spider-Man 3 on PlayStation 2

With the Spider-Man 3 movie coming to theaters soon, you can pre-order the Spider-Man 3 video game on PlayStation 2 on right now. I want to see the new Spider-Man 3 movie when it comes out but I probably won't have time to go and see it right away. I may have to rent it sometime when it comes to local Blockbuster store. Hopefully the new Spider-Man 3 video game is better than past Spider-Man games as most of them have been good but there were some that were just ok.

Exploring Vista's desktop wallpapers

Well I wasn't a real big PC wallpaper fan/person that changes my desktop's wallpaper with different pictures. I use Windows XP home edition, and I was using that generic green Windows XP Home Edition wallpaper on my desktop. But hearing about Windows Vista's nice looking graphics and seeing some of the sweet wallpapers that have been created for Vista I had to take a look. So I searched and found a few sites with Vista wallpapers and they all looked really good. So I had to try some out on my desktop. My top 4 favorites are:

I know the smaller versions of these wallpapers doesn't do them justice but I wanted to display my favorites. Below are the sites listed where I found the above wallpapers and even more nice looking Windows Vista wallpapers can be found and you can download for free.
If you know of any other sites that have more wallpapers, feel free to drop a comment and let us all know.

Only at a Red Sox game

I found this YouTube video clip on another site and had to post it because it's just funny. I'm a Boston Red Sox fan and most Red Sox fans are hardcore about the team and baseball. So sometimes there are things that happen that probably shouldn't happen (such as the "Yankees Suck" chant or fans taunting opposing players). In this case, this was definitely something that should not have happened but it did.

A Red Sox fan tries to catch a foul ball but doesn't and another Red Sox fan apparently is upset that he didn't make the catch, so he does something you won't believe unless you see it. I missed this game on television as I was away in New York so this was my first time seeing this and this was a first for me in seeing something like this happen. Just crazy. Only in Boston or New York you would probably see something like this.
(Video now below)

Update on 04/25/07 at 7:10 PM
Well it seems that this YouTube video has been removed so it won't work when you click the "Play" button. If you didn't get to see it yet, well a Red Sox fan dropped a foul ball, so another Red Sox fan I guess was upset that he didn't catch the ball, so he throws his own slice of pizza at the guy who didn't make the catch. You had to see it to laugh and hear the commentary by Jerry Remy and Don Orsillo, as they made it funnier.

Update on 04/27/07 at 1:38 AM
Ok I found the video on another site. If you haven't seen it yet you got to watch this. Enjoy!

An article on says that the guy who got hit by the pizza is Jason Sole and the guy who threw the slice of pizza was Danny Kelly. Look at the poll on that page with the Boston Herald article. It asks who had better stuff that game, Red Sox pitcher Josh Beckett or the pizza thrower. The pizza thrower has 68% of the votes. Funny stuff.

Getting some wedding stuff done

Well I'm currently in New York with my fiancee and we have been working on wedding plans and stuff the past few days since I've been here. We've found a person to do the cake, the invitations are done and now need to be mailed out, blocked off some hotel rooms for family coming to the wedding, and we made plans with a limo company. Almost everything is set I believe, but there are still some things that need to get done and some things that need to be paid for. It's been a productive few days that we are all proud of and exhausted from. Time to get some sleep.

Nicole C. Mullen's new album

Nicole C. Mullen - Sharecropper's SeedI'm a fan of Nicole C. Mullen and she has a new album that just came out today that is called "Sharecropper's Seed" which I plan on getting at some time. I already have three of her previous albums (Redeemer: The Best of Nicole C. Mullen, Everyday People, and Talk About It) and I enjoy listening to them all. If you haven't heard any of her songs before, her music is in the Christian/Christian Rock/Gospel category. I consider her music very inspirational as do others that I've read online.

I found two videos on YouTube of two of her songs that I like. You can watch them below.

GTA 4 Trailer

I came across the below video on It's a trailer of the upcoming video game GTA (Grand Theft Auto) 4. I don't know which system the game is being shown on in the trailer but it looks really good. I have no idea of what the story will be for this part. If anyone knows feel free to leave a comment.

Yahoo email to offer unlimited storage

Yahoo Mail will be offering unlimited storage for its' free web based email in May, according to an article on ZDNet. Right now Yahoo Mail offers 1 GB of space. I am only using around 5% of my 1 GB so the unlimited storage won't really affect me I think but now I won't be afraid to keep emails with big attachments such as large images. I think this is a good move by Yahoo to get more users to use their email rather than Google's Gmail or Windows Live Hotmail.

Top 25 games for PC and PS2

IGN has put together the top 25 games for gaming systems. The top 25 PC game list and the top 25 PS2 game list caught my attention because those are the two systems that I play games on whenever/if I get any free time. Some of the games that I like are on their lists such as: Half-Life 2 listed at #9 on the PC list (although I think this should be #1), Sim City 2000 listed at #8 on the PC list (I use to play this game back in high school, this brings back those city building memories), Resident Evil 4 listed at #15 on the PS2 list (although I liked part 2 and 3 better than part 4), Burnout 3: Takedown listed at #10 on the PS2 list (probably my favorite racing game), and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas listed at #8 on the PS2 list.

Spider-Man 3 preview and trailer

I'm a fan of the Spider-Man movies and I'm excited about the new one coming out in May, Spider-Man 3. This movie will have Venom, which if you read the comic books or have seen the Spider-Man cartoon show then you know about what happens to Peter Parker and Eddie Brock.

But from one of the trailers though I watched it looks like they make the person who killed Uncle Ben the person who turns into Venom. But in the cartoon show the "stuff" that comes from outer space consumes Peter Parker at first and turns him a little evil (and Spider-Man's suit is now black instead of red). Peter eventually fights off the "stuff" and it finds another host which was Eddie Brock, I think is a fellow photographer but is jealous of Peter. Eddie Brock turns into the Venom who gets Spider-Man's powers and is a bad guy who fights with Spider-Man. So we'll have to wait and see how the movie changes things and if it's good or bad.

I've embedded a Spider-Man 3 preview and a Spider-Man 3 trailer below. Clips are from

Update on 05/06/07 at 12:31 AM
Seeing more previews of the new Spider-Man 3 movie, I was wrong about who Venom is in the movie. I first thought that the guy who killed Peter's Uncle Ben is the guy who turns into Venom but now I know it's the Sandman who killed Peter's uncle. I've heard that the movie has done well in theaters as it came out this past Friday. I want to see this movie but I don't have time to right now.

Blog update complete

Well I think I am all done making updates to the look and feel of my blog. Not many big changes at all, just some minor color changes (now green instead of maroon), changed the right side of the blog with more links (more links to come on the right side). And for those who wanted to see a picture of me, I finally added a really small picture of me with my fiancee Amanda on my blog.

Blog design update in progress

This blog may look different or weird in the next hour or two as I'm going to update it to the new Blogger type of blog. I will probably keep the same layout but I'll definitely be changing the colors. So if the blog looks weird for a little bit, then you know why. I should stop tweeking it in an hour or two and be all set by later tonight.

An update to a truly sad story

Back in December I posted about a sad story, about a couple that was going to get married, but the night before the wedding the groom was shot and killed by New York police. I haven't heard much about this incident until Monday. An article on the BBC site on Monday says that:
"Two New York policemen have pleaded not guilty to manslaughter and assault charges over the shooting of an unarmed man on the day he was to be married. A third officer has pleaded not guilty to assault charges."

"The BBC's Guto Harri in New York says the charges are among the most serious which can be levelled against serving police officers."

"Detectives Michael Oliver and Gescard Isnora have been charged with manslaughter in the first and second degrees, implying both intent to harm and recklessness."

"Mr Isnora was the first to shoot and is accused of firing a total of 11 bullets. Mr Oliver is accused of firing 31 of the nearly 50 bullets aimed at Mr Bell and his two companions."
I wanted to keep those who are interested about this story as I am up-to-date with what is going on. Hopefully these men who are suppose to protect and serve everyone (no matter their skin color) get the jail time they deserve.

Blog update coming soon

Hi everyone, in the coming weeks my blog will be changing just a little bit. It will be moving to Blogger 2.0, also I think I'm going to change the colors, and the blog will have more of personal touch as I am going to start to write more about my life and things that are happening with me. All of my previous posts will stay, and don't worry I am still going to post about video games, sports, technology with the web, movies, and music.

My life in the coming months will be changing as I will be getting married in June and living with my wife of course, that will be new. I'll be moving away from my home town Boston, MA and to Buffalo, NY where my fiancee and I will be starting our married lives together. I am excited about married life and spending everyday with the one I love. I will share some of those married moments on my blog.

Don't worry I will not become a Yankees fan. Even though my fiancee has tried countless times to get me to become a Yankees fan I have held my ground and did not cross over to the "dark side." Red Sox fans will know what I'm talking about.

Celtics Gerald Green's awesome dunk

Well I'm not a die-hard basketball fan but I watch an occasional game. Since I live in Boston, I mostly see Celtics games whenever I do watch basketball. The Celtics team has changed a lot with a lot of younger players. Anyways I heard that Celtics' Gerald Green made an awesome dunk at this years' All-Star game dunk contest. Well I found a YouTube video of it and posted it in this post below. The Gerald Green dunk over Nate Robinson was sweet but his dunk over a table was just awesome. I'm not that big a basketball fan but this caught my attention. Wow Green can jump, and so can Robinson.

Another interesting 911 video: 9/11 Press For Truth

Here's another interesting video about 9/11 that raises questions that still have not been answered today. The video is hosted on Google Video.

"An excellent documentary about the families of the victims of 9/11 and their fight to uncover and expose the truth about what happened that day."

A great PHP image resize script

Well I was searching around online trying to find a PHP script that could resize images automatically for you. I came across a blog called Mike Lopez Blogs which had a script just for that. I copied the code he supplied and tried it on my PC and it works great. I wanted to let others know of this easy way to resize your images to save you time as it will definitely save me time from resizing images.

Interesting movie: 911 Mysteries

I found an interesting movie on about 9/11 that asks interesting questions and points out significant evidence that it was explosions inside the Towers that brought them down. You must watch this.

Half-Life 2: Episode 2 will be delayed

For Half-Life 2 fans out there such as myself I don't like that Half-Life 2: Episode 2 will be delayed until either Fall 2007 or Winter 2007. Either way it will be delayed until later in 2007.

From PlanetHalfLife:

"Electronic Arts, the world's leading interactive entertainment company, and Valve, the award-winning studio behind the blockbuster franchises Half-Life and Counter-Strike, today announced the naming and product configurations The Black Box and The Orange Box, two of the most anticipated action game offerings shipping worldwide this Winter 2007."

Boston bomb scare is just a bad advertising plan

Well I live and work in Boston so I encountered some of the delays because of this whole mess. Wednesday morning I was on the Orange Line train going to work when the transportation authorities had messages on the speakers saying that there was a "Police situation" at a stop so there would be some delays. This got me a little nervous as I did not know what was going on.

Then later on in the day I read online that the boxes that the police found were really just battery-operated ads that were placed around the city by the Cartoon Network trying to promote the TV show "Aqua Teen Hunger Force." Apparently these ads were also placed in other major cities such as New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Atlanta, Seattle, Portland, Austin, San Francisco, and Philadelphia.

This whole situation caused a transportation mess in a busy city. Roads were closed, public transportation was stopped for a while, and now there is talk that Mayor Menino is going to try and take legal action against parent company Turner Broadcasting.

You can read more about this whole situation in an article on

Whoever's idea this was-they will probably be in trouble with the top honchos at Turner Broadcasting and maybe even in trouble with the law. Aren't people thinking? Since 9/11 there has been warnings to the public that if you see a suspicious box or package that you should report it. And the people who put these things out (even the people who thought of this "ad campaign" in the first place) didn't think of that? What were they thinking? Apparently they were not thinking, and now they'll probably be paying for it.

Google's miserable failure search results has been 'fixed'

Google has 'fixed' the "miserable failure" Google bomb, which was when someone searched "miserable failure" on Google and the first result was President Bush's bio page. You can read more about this on Even though this is 'fixed' on Google, it's not fixed in real life because George Bush is still President and he has been a miserable failure as the President.

Happy Martin Luther King day

I wanted to say happy Martin Luther King day to everyone. I hope people know what today is about, it's not just another holiday you get off from work. This is a day to honor a great man for all of the work he did for civil rights and for minorities. You can read Martin Luther King Jr.'s biography on

Martin Luther King Jr.

Below are a few Martin Luther King Jr. quotes from
"Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter."

"Now, I say to you today my friends, even though we face the difficulties of today and tomorrow, I still have a dream. It is a dream deeply rooted in the American dream. I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: - 'We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal.'"

"The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy."

Miserable failure search brings up George Bush

Well this past week I learned that apparently a lot of webmasters have created links that use the phrase "miserable failure" on their sites that link to the White House's official biographical page for President Bush. So if you perform a Google Search of "miserable failure" the first result will be Bush's biography. You can read Google's Blog post about this. I find this quite funny.

My first post of 2007, Best Video Games of 2006

Well I want to say Happy New Year to everyone. I hope everyone had a Happy Holiday season and a Happy New Year day. I know I did as I spent New Years day with my loving fiancee. This will be my first post of 2007, oh yea!

Today I was looking on and saw that they put together a Top 10 List for 2006 of the biggest video game-related stories of this past year. I know video game junkies would like this. has also put together a 2006 Game of the Year section for about every gaming system you can think of.

Some notes about my favorite video games and where they were ranked in the Game of the Year lists from
