The Walking Dead season 2 episode 3

Episode 3, "Save the Last One" of season 2 of The Walking Dead was on Sunday night and wow what an episode. That was the best episode so far in season 2. Spoiler alert! Do not read on if you haven't watched it yet.

In Sunday's episode it starts with Shane in the shower staring at himself in a dark kind of scary manner. I too thought I missed something as in the last episode Shane was inside the school with Otis, but it's just a look ahead as it goes back to the current time showing Shane and Otis running through the school away from walkers.

Carol is crying in the RV about Sophia still missing and no one can sleep so Daryl and Andrea decide to go look for Sophia at night which doesn't seem like the smartest thing to do.

Shane and Otis are trapped atop the gymnasium's bleachers with walkers below. They make a plan where Otis will run through the locker room to get the walkers to follow him which will let Shane escape through a window, which is 20 feet above the ground. The plan works but Shane hurts his ankle from the drop.

Glenn and T-Dog get to the farmhouse where Rick and Lori are at with Carl. T-Dog gets some medical help for his infected cut. Lori talks with Rick that it may be better for Carl to die rather than live in this new world.

Otis finds Shane and saves his life. Both guys appear out of breath, tired and hurt. They try to get away as walkers follow them.

The Walking Dead season 2 episode 2

Spoiler alert! Do not read on if you haven't seen the episode yet. Episode 2 of season 2 of AMC's The Walking Dead was on Sunday night and the main focus was on Rick's son Carl, who got shot, as Rick carries him to a farm house where a family is surviving to try and get medical help. They need medical supplies and equipment to remove the pieces of the bullet so Shane and Otis, the guy who shot Carl, go to a walker-infested high school where there's a medical trailer. They use flares to distract the walkers, throwing them in the other direction of the trailer. It works as the walkers turn and walk towards them.

After getting the medical supplies they head out and they unintentionally get the walkers' attention. Shane and Otis run for it and end up breaking into the school and closing a gate before the walkers can get in. They show a piece that is holding the gate closed for now but it looks like at any second the gate is going to open. So now they're stuck in the school while Carl isn't doing good. The others who were searching for Sophia still haven't found her and decide to stay another night at the highway in case she comes back.

The Walking Dead season 2 episode 1

Sunday night had the first episode of season 2 of AMC's The Walking Dead and I thought it was good. If you watched it too let me know what you thought.

*Spoiler alert: don't read on if you haven't watched it yet. Here's a quick summary of the episode. The group decided to leave Atlanta for Fort Benning. They eventually have to stop because the highway is blocked by cars. A hoard of walkers/zombies come by and causes some trouble as the group tries to hide underneath cars. The little girl Sophia is chased by two walkers and Rick goes after her. Eventually Sophia goes missing and the group searches for her. Shane is planning on leaving the group and going on his own. The end of the episode has Rick's son Carl walking slowly near a deer and then a gunshot is heard and the deer and Carl fall to the ground. Rick and Shane run to Carl and the episode ends. If you missed Sunday's episode you can watch the highlights on The Walking Dead site.

So no one from the group died but T-Dog cut his arm pretty bad, Sophia goes missing and Carl is shot. There were some parts that had me shaking my head asking why the characters were doing some of these things, as some others have pointed out on the internet. First, they choose to drive on the highway and they ran into a roadblock of cars. The characters get out of their vehicles and look around without much fear it seems and they even let the kids out and about. They don't notice the horde of zombies coming their way until they're really close. And weren't the zombies coming from the direction that they came from? If so, they would have drive by the horde and known that they were coming in that direction too. When T-Dog cut his arm, wouldn't the zombies be able to smell fresh blood and find him under the dead body that the other guy put on top of him to hide him from the zombies?
