NHL playoffs round 2 predictions

I was going to post my first round predictions but I forgot about posting and remembered half-way through so I thought I would skip round 1 and post my predictions for round 2. And here we are as now the round 2 match-ups are decided.

Eastern Conference
New York Rangers (1) vs Washington Capitals (7)
Seeing how the Rangers went to 7 games with the Senators this won't be a "cake walk" for the Rangers. The Capitals should play a tough grinding series like they did vs Boston so it should be a close series. I'm going to pick the Rangers in 6 games.

Philadelphia Flyers (5) vs New Jersey Devils (6)
Flyers have had a long wait compared to the Devils so the Devils may come out stronger in the first 1 or 2 games, but I think the Flyers will win this series in 7 games.

Western Conference
St. Louis Blues (2) vs Los Angeles Kings (8)
Seeing what the Kings did to the Canucks I'm expecting this to possibly be the best series in the playoffs. This is a real tough prediction because both teams are playing well, have hot goalies and play that gritty hard grinding games that the playoffs are made of. My prediction will be the Kings in 7 games. I think goalie Jonathan Quick will be the key to the Kings success in this series.

Phoenix Coyotes (3) vs Nashville Predators (4)
This series will be a goalie battle, Mike Smith vs Pekka Rinne, and whoever plays better and their team's defense plays well that team will win. My prediction will be the Predators in 7 games.

What are your predictions?

The Walking Dead video game

The new The Walking Dead video game is now out and gaming sites are saying that's it's pretty good. Below is the story trailer that gives you a good look at the game. The game was created by Telltale Games which seems to create point-and-click type of games and I'm not really a fan of those games and this new The Walking Dead game is that way as well. If you have bought the game let us know what you think.

An untold story set in the world of The Walking Dead follows convicted criminal Lee Everett; a man given a second chance at life in a world gone to hell. With danger around every corner, protecting an orphaned girl named Clementine may offer him redemption in a world of true horror.

Experience events, meet people and visit locations foreshadowing the story of Deputy Sheriff Rick Grimes in this extension of Robert Kirkman's award-winning universe.

A five-part game of Adventure Horror, where the decisions that you make will have profound and lasting consequences.

New G.I. Joe: Retaliation movie trailer

Recently a second trailer has been released for the new upcoming G.I. Joe: Retaliation movie and I got to say I want to see this one. I still haven't seen the first one though so I'll try and see the first one before seeing this one.

Sad story about missing St. Louis woman

This is really a sad story. I posted a link to this on my Facebook page but I thought I should blog about it too because this family needs help finding their daughter.

A St. Louis woman named Phoenix Coldon has been missing since December and her family is trying to find her. Some people have tried and have taken advantage of the family. Now the family is facing financial troubles because of cruel hoaxes saying that they have information on their missing daughter but they really do not.

Please read the whole article on (link below) and share with others so maybe it will reach someone who saw or heard something so the family can find their daughter.

"Unfortunately, we will now be losing our family home," the missing woman's mother, Goldia Coldon, told The Huffington Post. "We have tried to explain the situation to our mortgage company but they don't care."

A tip that led the family to Texas came from a man who claimed to know Coldon's whereabouts and provided her family with very convincing details, Goldia Coldon said. The family already had invested much of their money to search for Phoenix, she said, but spent the remainder of their savings on private investigators to follow up on the lead. It was not until after the family's money was gone that the man who provided the tip admitted he fabricated the story, Coldon said.

"They said he made it up to get attention," she said. "It cost us dearly and it led absolutely nowhere. It was just his idea of a joke."

Phoenix Coldon, 23, was last seen in the driveway of the family's St. Louis County home at about 3 p.m. Dec. 18. Her mother said she was sitting in her vehicle one minute and the next, she was gone.

Coldon said she initially thought her daughter had gone to the store but when she did not return that night, Coldon said she reported her daughter and her black 1998 Chevy Blazer missing to police the following morning.

On Jan. 1, Coldon's family found out the missing Chevy Blazer had been impounded at 6:23 p.m. the day she disappeared. It was discovered about a 25-minute drive from her home, at Ninth and St. Clair in East St. Louis. The keys were in the ignition with the vehicle running and the driver's door open.

"I just wish those police had done what they were supposed to do by running those plates and seeing that the vehicle was registered to me," Goldia Coldon said. "All they had to do is call and say, 'do you know where your vehicle is?' And, look where it was found. Why didn't they check around the area to make sure somebody was not injured or passed out nearby? Why did we have to learn from someone else where our vehicle was?"

Coldon said police also did not complete an inventory sheet when the vehicle was found. "According to the officer, he did not do an inventory sheet because there was nothing in the car," she said. "That was not true. When we checked the vehicle at the impound there (were) lots of things in it, including her glasses, her purse with her driver's license and her shoes."

It remains unclear why the family was not told about the vehicle sooner or why police allegedly missed the items found inside. The East St. Louis Police Department has not returned calls for comment from HuffPost.

What kind of sick person do you have to be to think doing something like that is a joke? That's disgusting and that person should be behind bars. I hope they find her soon and all is ok.

The Walking Dead notes and answered questions

I've read others asking the same questions over and over about The Walking Dead show so I thought I would create a post answering some that have already been answered by people from The Walking Dead show. Also if you haven't read it yet, The Walking Dead's show runner Glen Mazzara has a post on the AMC The Walking Dead web site here that answers frequently asked questions that you should read as well.

Some people want to know the backstory to how the whole zombie apocalypse and outbreak started but the show is not going to go into that, just like the comic hasn't either.
THR: Will determining the cause of the outbreak be something that the group, now that they know they're all infected, spends time on?
Mazzara: Robert has not been interested in addressing in the comic book, and I'm not interested in addressing in the show. That being said, if it leads to new story -- if there's something that's important that we get out of it -- I'll be the first one to write it. But right now the cause of the zombie outbreak seems irrelevant. I always want the show to play like a horror movie every week. If you define what caused the outbreak, that puts us in a world of science fiction, and this isn't science fiction to me, it's horror. In my mind that's two different genres, so that is an important distinction to me.

What will season 3 be about? Will there be lots of zombie action?
Kirkman: We're transitioning into a new world. This has very much been a show about what's going on in this world, how do we survive; everyone is scared. We're going to be moving into a different world where everyone knows how to survive and they're faced with more adversaries, danger and different kinds of threats. That's very much what Season 3 is going to be about. Introducing Michonne the way we did is a big part of that. This is the first time we've seen someone who's out in the wilderness, on their own. She certainly seemed capable.

Who will be playing the Michonne character?
Michonne will be played by actress Danai Gurira. Source:

Will you tell Michonne's backstory?
Mazzara: We have an idea of Michonne's back story and that is something that we will address in a surprising way. I know people are going to ask, are we going to go back and do flashbacks of where Michonne was when the outbreak broke out. Probably not.

Who are the two walkers that Michonne has in chains?
"In the comic they are the re-animated corpses of her boyfriend and his best friend. They allow her to walk around freely with no fear of walker attacks." Source: A comment from a blog post about the finale. Sorry I forgot what site I read this on.

The helicopter from the beginning of Season 2 finale, who's in it?
If they go by the comic, it's most likely some of the Governor's men searching for something.
